Calanggaman or Kalanggaman Island – An Untamed White Sand Beach

If you always go out of town in the Philippines, I am sure you already discovered the most popular white sandy beaches in the different regions. On the other hand, you might not found the most intriguing and untamed islands in the country because you always focus on the crowded ones.

When talking about the best island to visit if you want a tranquil environment while enjoying the crystal clear water in a white sandy beach, it is important you discover the beautiful Calanggaman or Kalanggaman Island in Palompon, Leyte. This is undoubtedly a stunning pristine white sand beach and you cannot see any structure that can ruin its natural beauty. For those who already visited here, they say that it looks like Boracay, although it is small and tranquil.

If you get the chance to visit this beautiful place, you will appreciate its remarkable blue water, white powdery sand and do various outdoor activities on the beach such as kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and more. Although most of the people who visit the island only stay the whole day, there are some tourists who bring tents to stay here overnight.

Unlike the other white sand resorts, Calanggaman Island has no restaurants and no water supply. This is the reason why people who visit here need to carry their own stuff, which include foods and water.
