Because this kind of insect is becoming extinct these days, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and European Space Agency (ESA) already listed it as one of the most endangered insects in this planet. One of the reasons why their species are decreasing in numbers is due to continuing illegal trade of butterflies.

Although there are existing rules and enforcements to prevent those abusive human beings from capturing the butterflies, these people are not stopping in their wrongdoings when they visit the area. In most cases, even the locals are part of the trade because they collect these beautiful and colorful insects to sell them to different buyers. This is the reason why the government of the Philippines is having a tough time dealing with the illegal trades.

Based on the description of the Luzon Peacock Swallowtail, their wings feature red, black and turquoise colors, while their forewings are black and with pale blue veins. The entire body features black color with green (spotted) scales. Surely, this makes this type of creature an interesting butterfly to discover.

If we talk about the different activities made by humans wherein they use live butterflies, these include designing pavilions for special occasions, creating a butterfly garden and for exploration in schools.
